Lake Observatory
An ephemeral shelter, facing Lake Joux, highlights the difference between framing and field of view. The idyllic landscape framed from the inside contrasts with the undifferentiated reflectivity of its cladding. Its geometry and materiality echo the Dent de Vaulion, visible at the opposite end of the lake. The reduction of snowing on this geological formation leads to a progressive loss of the duration of its reflectivity. The observatory, installed for a summer, is a metaphor for this fleeting quality and the recent climate change in the region. Its elevation towards the lake addresses passing boats, which navigate for a season between these two figures.
